Principal: Dr. Vanna Easley
It’s a great day to be a hornet and Mrs. Vanna Easley's job as principal of Graden Elementary School is one of pride and accomplishment. Graden is in Parkville, Missouri and opened its doors in January of 1935. Mrs. Easley is a Park Hill graduate and is proud to call Park Hill her home again. She graduated from Missouri State University earning a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She began her teaching career in North Kansas City as a first-grade teacher, a job she held for ten years before moving into her role as an instructional coach. In 2017, she moved to Park Hill to take on the role as Assistant Principal at both Graden Elementary and Union Chapel Elementary.
Mrs. Easley continued her education earning a Master of Arts in Education from Park University, a Specialist in Administration from Northwest Missouri State University and a Doctorate of Education from William Woods University.
Mrs. Easley, her husband and two sons spend their free time playing sports, specifically football, and enjoying family time. She loves getting caught up in a good book and traveling to places she has never been.
Courtney Bishop is proudly joining the hornet hive to serve as Assistant Principal. She is also the Assistant Principal at Hawthorn Elementary. Mrs. Bishop is a Park Hill graduate and is thrilled to be back to represent the Park Hill School District. She graduated from The University of Missouri-Kansas City with her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She then obtained her master’s degree from Northwest Missouri State University in Administration. She joins us from North Kansas City Schools where she previously taught kindergarten before becoming an instructional coach.
When Mrs. Bishop is not learning and having fun Graden or Hawthorn, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two little boys. Her favorite family activities include swimming, biking and hiking!
