Student Support
The School Social Worker at Graden Elementary, works with students, teachers, staff and parents to support the non-academic needs of the students and families. Based on the student and family’s need, the School Social Worker works with the family to secure community resources, develops relationships with students and families, collaborates with the staff and teachers to provide support, addresses attendance issues, intervenes on behavioral concerns and many other activities.
Connor Washburn, LMSW is the school social worker for Graden Elementary. Connor graduated from Park University with her Bachelor's in social work and then completed her Masters in social work at the University of Kansas. Although this is her first year working in the district, she has experience working in schools in both Kearney and Excelsior Springs.
